The Basic Bowl with Spicy Curry Peanut Sauce

The Basic Bowl with Spicy Curry Peanut Sauce

Last week I had a client talk about food overwhelm. As in having so much information about what constitutes healthy food that it overwhelms her. Her ultimate goal is to eat perfectly paleo. But instead of taking baby steps toward that (maybe-too-lofty-for-her) goal, she throws her hands up and stays stuck.

It’s a classic case of letting perfect be the enemy of good, and most of us know it all too well. In our strive for perfection, we inevitably fall short of our ideals.

Creamy Tahini Herb Dressing

This stuff is the best. I made it on a whim last week and have made it 3 more times since. It's perfectly creamy - equally great as a salad dressing, sandwich spread, and dip for veggies. It has a base of tahini, fresh cilantro and parsley (feel free to use only one of these herbs if that's all you've got on hand). The addition of mayonnaise really drives it home. Try it out!

Christmas week was the greatest. We had so much fun, spent time with so many of our favorite people. Last year I was in a sleepless fog and barely registered what was going on. This year we have a toddler who decorates trees, sings Christmas songs and loves Santa. I am totally the sappy, cheesy, sentimental parent right now. But this year was just so, so awesome.

"What I ate Wednesday" is a trend amongst food bloggers to share what they eat in a given day.  Here's my spin on WIAW.

A couple weeks ago I mentioned I joined a Winter CSA. I know the prospect of a bunch of (potentially weird) veggies showing up each week is overwhelming to some. I've had people say, "I don't even know what I would do with all that."
